It’s International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) – Happy Gays Day
I guess I’ll have to be careful with this piece. After all, as Taylor tells us, haters gonna hate. First of all International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia doesn’t exactly trip off the tongue. Surely D-Day (diversity day) would be a better use of language, although in the back of my mind I think it’s been used before. The day has been on the rainbow calendar since 2004 and aims to ‘draw the attention of policymakers, opinion leaders…the public and the media to the violence and discrimination experienced by LGBTI people internationally’. I was asked once why is it so hard for women to find men who are sensitive, caring and good-looking? The answer, of course is that those men already have boyfriends. There are those who believe gays, trans and bi’s are an aberration. Those people are called Muslims……Conservatives….Catholics….and Tim Farron, who says, ‘I like Jesus, but he loves me; so it’s awkward. Many gay people in the UK are asking which party should they vote for in the general election, as there isn’t a Fabulous party. I’d say vote for the party who has the most gay candidates but, although there are many in the Tory party they all have wives and children and are opposed to gay marriage. You know who you are boys. The same applies in the Labour party. Think rentboy user Keith Vaz………….get yourself a bucket. Good luck choosing.
